So lit and so sick of shots of faith. You know a cancer better than a bad day. Weighed down, living out the hard way. Bedding down where machines know your name. You’ve got the sand to combat a wall. You’ve got the heart to laugh it all off. You’ve got the love and the rock of a family. I’d say odds are on you anyway. Keep your goals and strength will grow to take on anything by any means. It may be a thorn in your side but it’s gonna be alright. True grit with the hits your fighting off. Give up the room, not the battle at the hospital. Hold the marks on the books to rip it up cause it ain’t living if we don’t live it up. Keep your goals and strength will grow to take on anything by any means. Don’t slow your roll and get on home to take on anything by any means. And so it goes... you’ve held on. Still holding on. And so it shows... nothing is final until you stop shining. Take on anything by any means.
Coming back to punk rock after spending a lot of time away listening to other things made this extremely hard hitting and fresh. McCaughan's poetic lyricsm in Sundowner shines through in this release. Somehow Metropole didn't hit me like most, but I can see how "You Are Here" was a precursor to one of my favorite records to come. Shaughn Martel

The verse "Can't even buy a coffee without exploiting someone" got me. It really hits hard. For the entire length of the album it felt like the end of the world.
But to be perfectly honest, it's just how life is these days. And it's fucked up. szczur
