I want to see that smile radiate for miles. Wake up and hold that light to shake up the shadows right. I know the madness has all become the normal. I’d hate to regress. Degenerations futile. Some reek of power while I seek not to wither. My will’s gone sour. Fermented failures sifted. I want to see that smile radiate for miles. Wake up and hold that light to shake up the shadows right. I’d love to trade all the old foundations rusted. My tongue is twisted. My recollection’s busted. No point in holding on to pressure boiling over. No point in holding on to whats insane. I’ll say long to the high of innocence and reminiscing. I’m holding on to the shine that saved me and the time that you gave and the time I stripped away. I want to see that smile radiate for miles. Wake up and hold that light to shake up the shadows right.

Coming back to punk rock after spending a lot of time away listening to other things made this extremely hard hitting and fresh. McCaughan's poetic lyricsm in Sundowner shines through in this release. Somehow Metropole didn't hit me like most, but I can see how "You Are Here" was a precursor to one of my favorite records to come. Shaughn Martel

The verse "Can't even buy a coffee without exploiting someone" got me. It really hits hard. For the entire length of the album it felt like the end of the world.
But to be perfectly honest, it's just how life is these days. And it's fucked up. szczur
